Former Shucker Corbin Burnes called up to Milwaukee

Former Shuckers pitcher Corbin Burnes got called up to the Milwaukee Brewers Sunday.

Burnes joined the Brewers as a fourth round pick in 2016. The right-handed pitcher spent the previous two seasons through the minors, spending the majority of this year with a Triple-A affiliate the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.

While in Colorado Burnes recorded a 5.15 ERA in 19 appearances and 13 starts. Both MLB.com and Baseball America rank the former Shucker as a top 60 prospect in baseball.
