Former Sheriff’s Deputy Sentenced

A former Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy will spend the next forty years behind bars.
48-year old Jason McGrath was sentenced to 40 years, day for day, on four counts of sexual battery and one count
Of touching of a child for lustful purposes.

After he is released, he will serve ten years on post release supervision and will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
During the trial, victims of McGrath’s actions took the stand, all of them family members who lived with McGrath as some point.
