Former Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart continues to impress as the first Reese’s Senior Bowl practice wrapped up on Tuesday

The Reese’s Senior Bowl festivities are officially underway.

A week full of opportunities for some of the best players in the country who are looking to make a push towards the NFL Draft in April. Former Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart is a player make some, if not the most, buzz with his talent.

“With Jaxson Dart my phone probably pinged more when we announced him than any other quarterback,” Reese’s Senior Bowl Executive Director Jim Nagy said on Monday.

Some players who are invited to the Senior Bowl do not accept if they have nothing to prove. That’s not the case for Jaxson Dart. While it’s clear he is a top-level talent, Dart is looking to solidify his draft stock as his name continues to garner buzz.

“It was a no brainer for me,” Dart said. “I was just really looking forward to it. It’s a great environment and I am really excited to just continue to learn, be around great talent and have great exposure.”

There’s no question about it, Dart has the ability to be an NFL quarterback. He, along with Reese’s Senior Bowl Executive Director Jim Nagy, believe there is still more to learn and prove while in Mobile, Alabama.

“I feel like everything that I need to show is on tape,” Dart said. “It’s more just getting acclimated to the NFL system, being around NFL coaches and just learning, you know, finding my way of being uncomfortable and performing at the same time. Just really looking forward to the opportunity.”

“I think guys want to see him in a pro-style offense and throwing into tighter windows,” Nagy said. “I’ve said this a million times over the last few weeks but, I mean, Lane does such a good job there that he is throwing routes on air all the time. That’s not NFL football. I’ve even said something to Jaxson this week, you know, get ready to throw into tighter windows. Really excited to see him out there.”

Day two or practices continues on Wednesday and will wrap up on Thursday. The 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl game will take place on Saturday at 1:30 P.M. at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, AL.
