Former Ocean Springs Alderman Robert Cox Sr. passes away

The Ocean Springs community is mourning the loss of a longtime city leader and local business owner.

Former two-term Alderman Robert Cox Sr. died Saturday at the age of 90. Cox served as alderman for two terms and as alderman-at-large while also owning Cox’s Barbershop.

Before any of that, though, he served our country in the Air Force.

Visitation for Cox will be held tomorrow at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs starting at 10:30 with a mass to follow afterwards.
