Former Mississippi Coast players shine in 2024 Senior Bowl

What do you get when you take the best college football seniors in the country and put them together with a bunch of Reece’s cups? You get the 2024 Senior Bowl!

This game was all about the talent and some of that talent came straight from the Coast.

George County high school alum McKinnley Jackson found himself on the American roster, and with his talent, he fit right in.

“I am kind of used to it,” he said. “A long time ago I realized I was a special kid – especially playing in this sport. I have been playing with most of these guys for a while now. It’s just another opportunity to showcase my talent, get better, and raise my stock.”

It’s clear that Jackson is making a name for himself. If you ask him, he is doing it for more than just the name of the back of his jersey.

“My hometown knows, like, I am doing something for them,” he said. “I am raising opportunity for them, for kids there that are less fortunate. It’s a small town so there is not much opportunity – so there will be a trend from now on out, especially with me being a resource for those kids.”
