Former Harrison Central Baseball Standout Proving to be the Real Deal

As Bobby Bradley navigates his way through the Cleveland Indians farm system, he continues to keep Harrison Central within arm’s reach. On Saturday, the former Red Rebel hosted his second annual youth baseball camp at his alma mater where he’s starting to realize how big of a deal he actually is.
These days, dabbing is all the rage for the next generation of baseball, 88 youngsters who embody what Bobby Bradley’s camp is all about. “As long as everyone is out here having fun, that’s what it’s really about,” said Bradley.
What Bradley is coming to find out is that his presence alone is the primary reason for all the happy campers. “They are all just asking if I’m really Bobby Bradley. Do I really play for the Cleveland Indians? Am I on the Big Leagues team yet?”
Former MLB Player Barry Lyons said, “Well it’s an honor to be in a Major League Baseball uniform or in Bobby’s case a Major League player in the making. I certainly have high expectations for Bobby and I believe he will be a big leaguer for a long time.”
The fact that Bradley won the 2016 Carolina League MVP award would certainly suggest as much and his good buddy Matt Lawton would have to agree. “He’s definitely a Big Papi. If you watched Big Papi this year, he ended up having a great season. He uses the whole field. If Bobby gets back to doing that, we’ll see him put similar numbers.”
Only 20-years-old and coming off a 29 home run campaign with High-A Lynchburg, Bradley is proving to be the real deal and the real him, too. “They didn’t grow up around me. They weren’t old enough to know when I was coming up so they don’t really know. It’s fun when I tell them ‘yeah, this is the person you’re looking up too.”
Bradley says he leaves for spring training on February 28th. He’s the 95th ranked prospect in all of baseball according to mlbpipeline.com.
