Former Governor Haley Barbour speaks at Gulf Coast Business Council
Former Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour made an appearance at the Gulf Coast Business Council.
Barbour spoke to the crowd about the challenges the Coast faces during hurricane season.
He also spoke about the Coast after Hurricane Katrina as the 19th anniversary of the storm is coming up. “Fair to say to have a celebration and gratitude to the people who did so much for us. There’re some bad memories in Katrina, of course there are, but Lord, the people you never saw on your life that came here, came here more than once. They gave money, they gave services.”
