Former Governor Haley Barbour reflects on Hurricane Katrina 20 years later

August 29, 2005: Hurricane Katrina roars ashore and devastates the Mississippi Coast.

This Friday marks the 20th anniversary of the worst natural disaster in U.S. history. This week we will be looking back at the killer storm and how far we’ve come on the road to recovery.

We start with Governor Haley Barbour who guided the state through the tragedy. Barbour speaks to WXXV Dave Elliott about his first visit to the Coast after Katrina made landfall.
