“The Foreigner” Gulfport Little Theatre

The Gulfport Little Theatre is putting on their new show called “The Foreigner” which is a winner of two Obie Awards and two Outer Critic Circle awards as the best new American play and best off-Broadway production.
The show is directed by Jay Lynn and opened to the public Friday, March 10th. The show features a comedy full of silly antics set in a rural George lodge where foreigner Charlie Baker speaks no English and ends up overhearing more than he should. Actor Cal Walters said, “It’s almost like playing a schizophrenic on stage because he goes from being this really shy, meek proofreader for this science fiction magazine to telling these fantastic stories in foreign languages and then ultimately scaring off these bad guys that want to take over the lodge.”
