Food Recipient Aid

House Bill 1116 is back in a joint house-senate committee’s hands.

It would hire an outside company to build computerized records, require officials to audit recipients and limit Mississippi’s Food Stamp and welfare programs to the minimum required by federal law.

Recipients who don’t respond to auditors or don’t meet requirements would lose their aid.
