Fly Llama Brewing celebrates first Llamapalooza

Fly Llama Brewing saw a sizeable turnout for its block party Saturday afternoon as beer lovers showed out for the first music-filled Llamapalooza.

Artists local and from out of town took the stage outside the brew house as the street was closed for patrons to freely walk about.

The brewery, which opened early this year, released several new beers for the event like a blueberry cheesecake sour and a new dark lager.

Though the brewery is a new addition for the coastal beer community, it already has a loyal following of regulars.

Arguably their biggest fan, Fly Llama regular Roger Poe said he wasn’t going to miss the event for anything. “Oh man, the people here are nothing but nice. Every time I’ve come here I ain’t had nothing but good service. And the bands are great today. It’s been a really good party. The time is good today. I’m drinking a satsuma pineapple, and it’s a homemade brew that they make, and it’s off the chain. Llamapalooza, baby.”
