Flu Vaccine Proves Effective

Some good news this morning about this year’s flu vaccine,
The Centers for Disease Control say people who have gotten the vaccine are fifty nine percent less likely to get the flu than those who have not been vaccinated.

That’s far better than last year, when flu strains mutated and the vaccine was only twenty three percent effective.
Experts say flu activity is still on the upswing and is expected to continue for several weeks.
The CDC recommends a flu shot for just about everyone, but usually only half of Americans get vaccinated.
