Florida sheriff deputy arrested on multiple charges in Ocean Springs
OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- A Florida sheriff’s deputy was arrested for DUI and hit and run over the weekend in Ocean Springs.
Jessica Harrison is a deputy with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office.
Ocean Springs Police Chief Steve Dye tells us her arrest happened Sunday night after she hit a city sign in her unmarked patrol car on Porter Avenue, then left the scene.
Police later stopped her on Front Beach and took her into custody on those misdemeanor charges.
Dye says Harrison was on the Mississippi Coast for law enforcement training at the time of her arrest.
