Floral Design lecture with Floral Display Supervisor Pat Scace at Mississippi State Extension Center

Pat Scace, a floral display supervisor at the Missouri Botanical Garden, visited the Mississippi State University Coastal Research and Extension Center in Biloxi to speak about her work.

Scace is a landscape architect and member of the American Institute of Floral Designers. She developers, organizes, and coordinates many exhibits and shows at the garden, including the world-renowned annual Orchid Show.

At the lecture, students were able to work hands-on with designs, get one-on-one tips from Scace, and learn about different floral designs and arrangements.

Scace has worked in the retail floral industry providing freelance and contract work as well as industry education.
