Flooding at Beard’s Cove Drive in Gulfport

In the Bernard Bayou area of Gulfport, some homes and residents are experiencing flood waters.

Multiple residences on Beards Cove Drive experienced the rise of flood waters as a result of the storm.

On Sunday, waters reached the top of mailbox posts and fully submerged the street.

Gulfport Fire Chief Mike Beyerstedt confirmed at least one water rescue was performed in the area.
