Flint Creek Water Park in Wiggins upgrading amenities
WIGGINS, Miss. (WXXV)- Flint Creek Water Park and Campground in Wiggins is upgrading amenities to improve the visitor experience.
The park features a 700-acre lake, water park, and campground.
Recent improvements include renovating 13 cabins and one bunkhouse with new paint, flooring, appliances, and furniture.
Park Manager Michael Clark says crews have also upgraded campsites and added an 18-hole disc golf course.
He says more upgrades are planned, including a new campground called ‘Camp Cowboy’ for visitors using the horseback riding trails. “We’ve got people coming back. They’re liking the renovations that we’re doing and the improvements we’re making to the park. Things are looking up.”
The Pat Harrison Waterway District funded the projects. The agency manages Flint Creek and eight other recreation sites.
Clark says the park is also seeking federal grants for future work, including repaving roads and building a pickleball court.
