Five people recovering from Sunday night shooting at Black Spring Break

Biloxi Police said today that five people — including a Biloxi officer — were shot at two locations in Biloxi during Black Spring Break.

Officers responded to a call about a shooting at 5:33 p.m. Sunday near a Motel 6. While responding to that location, another call went out about shots fired at Surf Style and additional officers responded. While searching the area, a Biloxi officer was shot.

He was provided emergency assistance at the scene and taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment.

In a press release, police said all five victims were taken to area hospitals for treatment and are in stable condition, or have been released after being treated.

Police have made no arrests or charged anyone with the shootings.

The investigation is active and ongoing. Federal, state, city and county agencies are involved in the investigation.
