Five people face indictments in the 2023 kidnapping and shooting of retired deputy

Five people have been indicted in connection with the 2023 kidnapping and shooting a retired sheriff’s deputy from the Vicksburg area.
29-year-old Logan Allan D’Elena of Saucier and 22-year-old Blake Menefee of Gonzales, Louisiana, were indicted on charges of aggravated assault and kidnapping of Michael Outzs from his Warren County home.
Outzs was shot and taken to Harrison County, where he was left near a church on Old Highway 49, where Harrison County deputies found him bound and bleeding in the woods next to Grace Temple Baptist Church.
Menefee and D’Elena, along with others, were tracked down in Gonzales, Louisiana, and arrested.
The indictment was returned in January.
In addition, Isaiah McDonald, 23, was charged with accessory after the fact to kidnapping and accessory after the fact to aggravated assault. He has been in the Harrison County jail since February 2023.
Lisa D’Elena, 54, and Anna Joy Gliddon, 28, each were indicted on a charge of hindering prosecution of a felon. Both women were charged in February 2023 and released on bond.
