Fish fry for Special Olympics
Since 1981, law enforcement has been the Guardians of the Flame and the Flame of Hope for the Special Olympics.
Today, the 2017 Law Enforcement Torch Run is frying up some fish to help benefit the Special Olympics of Mississippi. They served over 600 fish and hamburger plates with potato salad and baked beans for $8. Lt. Christopher De Back with Biloxi PD said, “It’s a great cause to watch our athletes in our state. It’s amazing. They’re truly, their hearts are in it one hundred percent and they’re strong athletes.”
Today they raised about $5,000 which will help with the Special Olympics equipment, traveling, and programs.
