Fish Fry for Eli in Ocean Springs

A ‘Fish Fry for Eli’ will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Knuckleheads in Ocean Springs.

For $10 a plate, you’ll get fried fish, potato salad, and jambalaya. The proceeds are going toward the medical bills of Eli Savage, a dispatcher with the Ocean Springs Police Department, who just returned home from MD Anderson after his second bout of cancer.

Event Organizer Tim Wold said, “When you go through one bout that’s bad enough, but to get a second round, that’s a double kick. It is important to come out not only to back the police department, but back a good couple. He and his wife and two kids, they’re super nice people.  The type of couple you want to do something good for.”

You can take the catfish to go or enjoy it on the patio at Knuckleheads.
