First Stone High Football Game after Allegations

Tonight was the first Stone High football game since the allegations surfaced. The Stone County community packed May Stadium to cheer on the Tomcats against the Long Beach Bearcats. It’s unknown if the noose victim played in tonight’s game, but his parents were spotted in the stands.
Stone High students and community members say they won’t allow recent headlines and the actions of a few people to disrupt the flow of the community or Friday night lights.
Stone High student Haley Cobb said, “We had some complications with it, but we kind of overcame it and became more of a community and more of a team and we’re not going to let that tear us apart from each other.”
Stone High alumna Dominique Fowler said, “Now everybody is coming together. There’s no animosity. It’s a peaceful Friday night. I’m loving it.”
