First Responders Rescue Bridge Jumpers
This morning, Jackson County first responders rescued two people from the Pascagoula River after they jumped off the Roy Cumbest Bridge in Vancleave.
The duo, who have been identified as Elvis Duke and Damon Randolph, were trying to elude law enforcement officials after crashing their car when they jumped off the nearly 30 foot tall bridge overnight.
First responders were able to extract the two men from the water and they are both being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
