First Responders Night at MGM Park

Shuckers fans showed their appreciation to those who protect and serve our community at First Responders Night at MGM Park.

The Shuckers kicked off Thursday’s game with a first responders vehicle display on the north lawn, including fire trucks, police cars, and an ambulance. Gates opened a little early for a Guns N’ Hoses pregame softball matchup between police officers and firefighters for the Guns N’ Hoses championship.

The first responders had a blast playing softball and appreciated the support from the community. Biloxi Fire Battalion Chief Anthony Shook said, “It’s just great to see everybody come out and I appreciate everybody coming out to see us. It’s really good camaraderie between us and the police department because we really rely on one another. It’s just a big brotherhood. We appreciate it.”

It was also WXXV Night at MGM Park. Chief Meteorologist Rob Knight threw the first pitch for last night’s game.
