First Responders Breakfast at First Baptist Church of Lizana
First responders dedicate their lives to protect and serve the community. Today, volunteers at The First Baptist Church of Lizana served them breakfast to show appreciation.
Pancakes and sausage plates were available at the church. They were served to first responders at the church, in to-go boxes and delivery, all for free. Any first responders, including firemen, police, deputies, medics, and jail workers were invited, as well as their families.
Mike McCarroll with First Baptist Church of Lizana said, “First responders are a rare breed, especially in the society that we live in today. We just want to say thank you, just a token way of saying thank you, but I want them to know we keep you in our prayers.”
First Baptist Church of Lizana previously held a first responders appreciation breakfast for eight years annually on September 11th. This is the first time they’ve held one on Memorial Day.
