First degree murder arrests in George County

Two suspects have been arrested and charged with first degree murder in the shooting of 35-year-old Marcus Jordan.
George County Sheriff’s Department responded to a shooting around 8 p.m. last night in the area of TLC Lane in the central community. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Thirty-five year-old John Landry of Lucedale and 37-year-old Johnny Kendrick of Leakesville were taken into custody and charged with the shooting. They are both awaiting their initial appearance before a judge.
