First CardioMEMS at Memorial Biloxi
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- Memorial Health System completed their first CardioMEMS procedure at Memorial Biloxi.
The health system says this is a major step forward in heart failure care.
A CardioMEMS is a tiny wireless device that sits inside the body and monitors pressure in the lungs.
Memorial Health saying it is an early warning system that helps doctors detect changes before symptoms worse, allowing for timely treatment and fewer hospital visits.
