Fireworks free zone marked off in Biloxi

Fireworks Free Zone

A fireworks-free zone will once again be marked off on the beach on July 4. The zone will stretch along the beach from Oak Street to the Biloxi Small Craft Harbor.

While enjoying the fireworks display on July 4, be mindful of others, including animals and the Least Terns.

And remember, it is unlawful to shoot fireworks within the city limits except for certain days. According to city ordinance, fireworks can only be shot on July 4 as well as Dec. 31 after 6 p.m. through 1 p.m. on Jan. 1 and the first, second, and third day of Tet only in conjunction with the Dragon Dance, which requires a special permit from the Biloxi Fire Department.
