Fires on Bell Creek Road being investigated as arson

A pair of fires on Bell Creek Road are now being investigated as arson.

Harrison County Fire Rescue and the Mississippi Forestry Commission responded to the blazes yesterday. Together, they burned through 125 to 150 acres, threatening at least one home and livestock.

Officials say they may be related to the other woods fire in Harrison County Sunday.

In all, Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan says they’re investigating six fires as possible arson this week.
