Firefighters battled shed fire in Wiggins
WIGGINS, Miss. (WXXV)- The Wiggins Fire Department responded to a structure fire earlier this week.
This incident happened on April 22nd around 4:50 p.m.
A shed near Parkway Drive and Brookhollow Street was found to be on fire. Fire units arrived within minutes of dispatch, two nearby homes exposed to heat and flame danger.
Firefighters worked to contain the fire and prevent any further damage to the homes.
The shed was completely destroyed and is considered a total loss.
The nearby homes sustained minor exterior damage. One minor injury was reported involving a bystander. They were evaluated and did not require medical attention.
The cause of the fire has been determined to be accidental, resulting from an electrical malfunction.
