FireFighter Injured On Duty

A Fire-Fighter is preparing for surgery after being seriously injured by a fire-truck Saturday morning

A Gulfport Fire-Fighter’s head got pinched between a brick-wall and a fire-truck while trying to stop the driver from backing in after a rescue.

The incident happened around nine-thirty in the morning at the gulf-port fire department’s station five.
Fire-department engineer Mark Hedrick suffered a decently-sized gouge in the back of his head and a broken jaw.

The injured Fire-fighter has been transferred to a hospital in New Orleans. He will undergo surgery to fix his broken jaw
