Fire reported at Superdome in New Orleans

The New Orleans Fire Department tweeted out this morning that there was a fire within the walls of the Caesar’s Superdome this morning.

The tweet that was posted about 6:30 a.m. said it was a 1-alarm construction fire.

Construction crews were evacuated as a precaution.

Other news outlets reported there was no smoke visible, but the smoke did reach the playing floor of the Superdome.

The New Orleans Saints are scheduled to play the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday in New Orleans.
