Fire officials monitoring marsh fire in Harrison County
HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Harrison County Fire Rescue is monitoring a marsh fire off Whitman Road, just north of Pass Christian.
Officials say the fire is burning in areas that are surrounded by water and not able to be reached by firefighters. The fire is producing a large amount of smoke in the area.
Fire officials say no homes are in danger, but smoke conditions on W. Whitman Road requires caution in the area.
The fire will continue to burn and produce smoke for several days.
