Fire crews battle multiple small woods fires over the weekend in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Jackson County Fire Protection crews spent much of the weekend battling several small wood and brush fires across the county.

Fire crews want to remind you that you should still use extra caution right now while burning outside, as relatively dry conditions still persist.

Officials say if your fire causes damages, you may be liable for the damage.

Mississippi Forestry Commission and Mississippi Sand Hill Crane crews helped put out these fires this weekend.
