Final preps for Waveland Cruisin’ event ‘Hot Rods and Hospitality’

We’re also looking ahead to the new event on the lineup for Cruisin’ the Coast this year.

Waveland city leaders are finishing their preparations for Hot Rods and Hospitality, the first Cruisin’ event for the city since 2006.

Wednesday’s event will see classic cars lined up and down Coleman Avenue along with musical acts and food vendors.

City leaders tell us they hope this event helps with Coleman Avenue revitalization efforts. Waveland Ward 2 Alderman Bobby Richardson said, “We have been working hard. We’ve had people working behind the scenes. I have my daughter and my wife. We have other committee members that have really been working hard behind the scenes. It’s really going to turn out to be a great event.”

Hot Rods and Hospitality kicks off at 10 Wednesday morning on Coleman Avenue. The fun will run all the way until 6 p.m. in Waveland.
