Final day of Seabee Battalion reunion
Celebrating the 55th reunion for the Seabee Construction Battalion NMCB 74 All Era, veterans and their families reconnected with old time service buddies.
Over the past three days, veterans who served our country from 1966 to 2014 came together as they do every two years to reconnect.
Tonight was the final night banquet to close out the reunion.
At the VFW in Gulfport, members brought one of a kind unique crafts to be auctioned off to help fund the battalion until the next reunion in two years. President of Seabee’s NMCB ’74 Dan Bower said, “It’s an opportunity for veterans from everything from the Vietnam era all the way through the Gulf War, Afghanistan, Iraq, all of these eras come back, to have a vehicle to come back and meet up with people they knew 20, 30, 40, and 50 years ago.”
Members traveled from across the country to be a part of the reunion, revisit the Seabee Base, share stories, and pay tribute to those who once served the nation.
