Final day of March of the Mayors food drive approaching

Less than two days remain for the Coast in the March of the Mayors food drive, as mayors across South Mississippi continue to ask for donations right up to the finish line on Friday.

Over the last several days, South Mississippians have dropped off food as part of the statewide initiative led by Extra Table.

The food items collected across the six South Mississippi counties will meet the specific needs of Coast food pantries.

Coast mayors and volunteers will gather Friday at the Lyman Community Center to pack up all the collected food items from South Mississippi and send them off to those local food banks.
