Fin and Zen Yoga at the Mississippi Aquarium

The Mississippi Aquarium is reaching out to all Gulf Coast yogis. Tomorrow, they are hosting their first ‘Fin and Zen’ one hour yoga session on the first floor of the aquatic waters in front of the main viewing window.

From 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., join local Yoga Instructor Brittany Simmons for an underwater serene yoga experience.

Participants must be 15 years or older and guests are asked to bring their own yoga mat. The event is $30 for non-members and $20 for members. Admission includes a tour of the aquarium. Walk-ins are welcome before 8:30 a.m.

Mississippi Aquarium Special Events Manager Lindsey Arthur said, “This room would be perfect because it’s very Zen and serene and we already have the deep ocean music playing and you come in here and this is what you get to stretch to and find your center. Our sessions will be taught by local instructor Brittany Simmons.”

Fin and Zen Yoga will continue twice a month at the aquarium. The next session will be on Sunday, April 18th.
