Fill A Bucket Food Drives
Representatives and linemen from coast electric were outside multiple Walmarts on the coast this morning…collecting food items for those in need.
It is called Fill A Bucket Food Drive.
Linemen were outside three Walmart locations asking the community to lend a helping hand to local food pantries.
Coast electric power association serves more than 80 thousand meters and 68 thousand members in Hancock, Harrison and Pearl River counties.
Members of Coast Electric tell News 25 this is their opportunity to give back to the community.
“We typically do it around lineman appreciation day. Our employees, one of our core values at Coast Electric is concern for community so our employees love to come out into the community and volunteer as much as they can so this is a good way to get our crews out interacting with the people who are our friends and neighbors and members and hopefully get some good donations for those local food pantries.”
– April Lollar Director Of Communications, Coast Electric
Donations in Picayune will go to Manna Ministries, Waveland donations will be delivered to Hancock County Food Pantry and D’Iberville donations will go to The Salvation Army.
