Fight at local bar leads to shooting, arrest

A Pascagoula man is in jail, charged in a shooting on Sunday at the Julep Room on Washington Avenue.

Ocean Springs officers were called to the bar in response to a fight. When they arrived, they found one person had been shot in the leg.

Tips from witnesses led to the arrest of 42-year-old Vincent Jenkins, who was charged with aggravated assault. He was taken to the Jackson County jail and bond was set at $1 million.
