Fifty Year Milestone for Gulf Coast Symphony Guild

It’s a milestone in the making that may come as music to your ears.
The Gulf Coast Symphony Guild is celebrating 50 years of service. Guild members and guests gathered for a special brunch in honor of the 50th anniversary this afternoon at the Great Southern Club in Gulfport. The symphony’s conductor and music director, Dr. Peter Rubardt, spoke to the crowd.
The group was also celebrating a victory met in raising $50,000 for the symphony. The guild started the campaign back in September. Gulf Coast Symphony Guild President Melanie Clark said, “We help keep the doors of the symphony open. This will be a gift as an asset to the symphony. They’ll be able to use it. They’ll be able to collateralize it if they need a short term loan to get through a dry period in their finances and it will just ensure that the symphony has the assets to continue forward in to the next 50 years.”
A schedule for Gulf Coast Symphony concerts and tickets can be found on their website at gulfcoastsymphony.net.
