Field Day games at the Harrison County Child Development Center
Kids of all ages raced to the finish line this morning for field day at the Harrison County Child Development Center.
Events included short and long races and bean bag wheel chair races. Airmen at the Gulfport CRTC volunteered to assist some of the participants in the school.
Organizers of field day tell News 25 the smiles on the kids and parents faces make their hard work worth it. Organizer Heather Lindberg said, “I stay on Pinterest like pinning stuff for every event. Every month, like, I have stuff, but field day is a lot of work, but I’m just thankful for all our help. They help me so much.”
Harrison Central Child Development Center Principal Vicki Carter said, “They’re excited. They’re happy. Their families are here to see that they can participate in these types of events as well as their siblings at other schools.”
All 108 students in the school participated in today’s field day which has been an annual event for at least 40 years.
