Fetal Heartbeat Bill signed into law

An unborn baby with a detectable heartbeat will now have a greater chance at life in Mississippi.

This morning, Governor Phil Bryant signed Senate Bill 2116, the Fetal Heartbeat Bill, into law in Jackson.

This bill will prevent an abortion of the unborn when there is a noticeable heartbeat. The only exception is when the mother’s life would be at serious risk.
