FEMA gives $1 million to Biloxi for the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum
FEMA has agreed to give Biloxi over a million dollars toward the rebuilding of the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum.
According to city officials, the Federal Emergency Management Agency will reimburse Biloxi with the money that was used for demolition and elevation costs of the museum.
The city asked for $1.5 million in July of 2014, but FEMA agreed to a little over $1 million for the three story building.
The original museum was a single story building damaged heavily by Hurricane Katrina.
