Felony Escape Arrest Jackson County

A Lucedale man who escaped from a Jackson County Sheriff’s Patrol Car with the help of a confidential informant last month is now behind bars in Alabama.
Charles Mott was arrested in mobile last night and is charged with felony escape as well as receiving stolen property.
Back on April 12, an informant tipped off deputies that Mott had a stolen truck at a house in Helena.
Mott was arrested and placed in a patrol car.

While deputies searched the house, the informant 27 year old Jessica Brown opened the car door to let Mott escape.
Brown is charged with felony aiding escape.
She bonded out of the Jackson County Jail and is now in the George County Jail on unrelated charges.
