Felony eluding arrest in Biloxi

An Alabama man was arrested in Biloxi for felony eluding.
Sixty-four year-old Robert Mitchell Bennefield of Opelika, Alabama drove away Sunday night as an officer was attempting to pull him over. As officers attempted to catch up to Bennefield, he crashed into another vehicle.
Bennefield and one of the occupants of the other vehicle were transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries sustained during the crash.
Bennefield is charged with felony eluding, disregard of a traffic control device, seat belt violation, and failure to possess a driver’s license.
