Escaped Jackson County prisoner captured

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed that just after 10 p.m. tonight, 29-year-old Marshall Williams was captured and taken into custody.

Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell says the department made an arrest of Williams for four active felony warrants.

During the arrest, Williams indicated to the officer that he had ingested a large amount of methamphetamine and heroin, so officers immediately took Williams to the hospital to be checked out.

He pushed down a guard and escaped from the hospital on foot.
