Feeding the Gulf Coast helping people across South Mississippi

Feeding the Gulf Coast serves 24 counties along the Central Gulf Coast.

President and CEO Michael Ledger says for every meal the organization puts out, SNAP benefits provide nine of them. He says one of the most challenging parts of this issue is that over 70 percent of the people receiving SNAP benefits are either seniors or families with children.

Ledger says this all creates a ripple effect throughout our communities.
