Federal Judge Blocks Bathroom Policy

Transgender students to use the restroom of their choice, the judge for the northern district of Texas granted a nationwide injunction late yesterday temporarily blocking the guidance from the Obama administration covering student in public schools. Thirteen states, including Mississippi, appealed to the courts, arguing the directive in unconstitutional. The federal government in May directed public schools to allow transgender students to use bathrooms and locker rooms consistent with their gender identity.
