Favre hires attorney in wake of welfare scandal, investigation
NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre has hired an attorney to represent him in the Mississippi Department of Human Services scandal.
Although Favre has not been charged in the investigation, he hired former White House counsel Eric Herschmann to serve as lead for his defense team, according to Axios.com.
Herschmann was a White House lawyer for Donald Trump and often spoke during the hearings on the January 6 attack.
“I only agreed to represent Brett Favre after I did my independent due diligence and was convinced that he did nothing wrong. Brett enthusiastically tried to help his alma mater, a public university, that needed and wanted his help,” Herschmann said.
