Father And Son Escape Fire Harrison County

A man and his two year old son escape from a late night house fire in Harrison County. According to Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan the home off Tally Shaw Road erupted into flames around 11:30 Thursday night. The man and young boy were sleeping in the same room when the smoke detectors went off. The man could not open his bedroom door so they escaped from the flames by climbing out of the first floor bedroom window. The man and his son were not injured but one firefighter was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
